CHARLES W. WATERS

Funeral services for Charles W. Waters, 48, were held Friday, May 13, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery. Martin's Funeral Service, Waukon was in charge of arrangements.

Charles W. Waters, son of Everett Waters and Leona Nierling Waters was born June 1, 1939 at Lansing. He died May 9 at his home near Ossian.

He received his education at St. George High School, Lansing.

He married Jerrilynne Runice on June 27, 1964 at Viroqua, Wisconsin. The couple had 6 children.

Charles worked on various area farms -- recently for James Wenthold.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Waukon.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Raymond Waters, in infancy.

Survivors include his wife Jerrilynne, his mother, Leona of New Albin; children: Tracy, Cresco, Tim, Ferryville, Wisconsin, Peggy, Jaime, Jason and Scott, at home; a granddaughter, Alicia; 2 brothers, Jim Waters, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Everett Waters, St. Paul, Minnesota; 3 sisters, Delores Lahmeyer, Atlanta, Georgia, Virginia Knuppe, New Albin and Shirley Stollenwerk, Rogers, Minnesota.

Pallbearers: Randy Nieling, Dean Nierling, Gary Robertson, Gary Hirth, Mark Severson and Gene Sweeney.

Honorary pallbearers: Jim Peterson, Wayne Knudtson, Bill Ferring, Alvin Hanson, Doyle Anderson, Clifford Knudtson, Merton Phipps, John Runice, Bob Garden, Arlin Runice.
