Frederick Kumpf, 79, died in a La Crosse, Wisconsin hospital on February 1, 1951.

Born May 7, 1871, in Waterloo township, Kumpf was a lifelong resident of Allamakee county. On October 6, 1898, he married the former Anna Dresselhaus, who died in 1909. On January 18, 1911, he married his former wife's sister, Lydia, who survives.

Another survivor is a sister, Mrs. Henry Gramlich of Lansing, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held on Monday from the Dorchester Methodist church, with burial in the church cemetery.
