Beulah "Boots" (Harris) Meyer Schultz was born March 20, 1915, at Postville, Iowa, to Obert and Clara (Klein) Harris. She passed away Friday, October 5, 2007, in the Good Samaritan Center at Postville, Iowa, at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 14 days.

She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Boots attended the Postville Schools. On October 10, 1933 Beulah was married to Vernas William Meyer, and to this union seven children were born, George, Elaine, Nancy, twins Sharon and Karen, Kathleen and Dennis.

The couple farmed near Postville until 1962. They moved to Postville and Vern took a job as custodian at the school in 1964. Vern passed away December 26, 1973. Boots was married to Harlan William Schultz in April of 1978. She became a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Postville in 2002.

Boots is survived by her children, Elaine (Jim) Rima, Oquawka, Illinois, Karen Meyer, Postville, Sharon "Pat" Nieman, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Kathleen "Katie" (Duane) Scheffert, Postville, Dennis (Jane) Meyer, Waukon, Iowa, son-in-law Roger Ulrich; 18 grandchildren, Craig (Karen) Rima, Cathy (Ed) Anderson, Judd Rima, Julie (Rob) Evans; Mike (Jaci) Frieden, Steve (Gail) Frieden, Brian Frieden, Tricia (Don) Karleskint, Amy (Frank) McGoon; Jaci (Craig) Burns, Brad (Marcie) Porterfield, Becky (Joe) Barlow; Kim (Karen) Kerr, Kevin (Deb) Kerr; Don (Mary) Meyer, Dan (Chelle) Meyer, Dave Meyer, Dacia (Clint) Johnson; 30 great grandchildren, 4 great great granchildren, a sister Lula (Marvin) Kruse, Sarasota, Florida, and sisters-in-law, Lillian Harris, Postville and Donna Harris, Elgin, Iowa.
Also surviving is her step family, William "Bill" (Pat) Schultz, Marion, Iowa, Mary (Dave) Ryan, Coral Springs, Florida, Joy Aukofer, Wichita, Kansas, Jane (Jim) Anderson, Fallon, Nevada, and John (Diane) Schultz, North English, Iowa; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Step chldren preceding her are Dale Schultz, Paul Schultz and Harlan Schultz Jr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Vernas Meyer and Harlan Schultz, a son George, a daughter Nancy Ulrich, two grandsons Joey Porterfield and Chris Rima, sons-in-law Darwin Nieman and Robert "Sonny" Kerr, 7 brothers Robert, Leo, Russell, Virgil, Milo, George and Donald, and 3 sisters Gertrude Hangartner Bluck, Hazel Pearcy and Ruth Burnham.

Boots was a member of St Bridget Catholic Church and the Rosary Society in Postville and the Post-Franklin Study Club.

Her greatest pleasure was when her family came to visit her.
