Obituary.
Mrs. Anna Erickson was born in Allamakee county, Iowa, on June 21, 1862, of the parents, John and Gjertrud Eggen. Here she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. H. Stub. In 1877 she came with her parents to Lincoln county, Minnesota, and settled on a farm north of Hendricks. On July 2, 1883, Anna Eggen was united in marriage to John Ramlo, and to this union nine children were born of which four have preceded her in death. Her husband, John Ramlo, passed away on January 2, 1914. On April 7, 1920, she was married to Mr. Ole Erickson of Hendricks.

Her health had failed her for the last year or more and after being confined to bed for just a few days she passed away at her home Sunday evening, February 17, 1938, at 10:30 o'clock, being 75 years, eight months and nine days of age. Mrs. Erickson was one of the first members of the Lake Hendricks Lutheran congregation and a very faithful member in all things. She has been a professing christian for many years and has lived as a christian. She was well known throughout the church circle for her life, character, faith and devotion to church and family.

Left to mourn the departure of a loving christian mother and wife are her husband, and children, Julius Ramlo, Woodburn, Oregon, and Gilbert, Genna (Mrs. Peter Eide), Joseph and Henry of Hendricks; six stepchildren, Edward Erickson of North Dakota, Oscar Erickson of Hendricks, Leonard Erickson of North Dakota, Ida (Mrs. Julius Hanson) of Hendricks, Olga (Mrs. Joseph Olson) of Mankato, and Dr. Alvin Erickson of Ivanhoe; five brothers, Henry, Ole and John Eggen of Hendricks, Hans Eggen of North Dakota, and Gust Eggen of Maynard, Minnesota; one sister, Mrs. Anderson, of California; twenty-eight grandchildren and a host of friends. May the Lord bless the memory of Mrs. Erickson.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, March 3, from the Free church, with Rev. M.A. Ericksen officiating. Mrs. M.A. Ericksen sang "Som sol gaar ned i havet" and "Jeg er en vandringsmand". The choir sand "Min Jesu Navn" and "Nearer, Still Nearer." Interment was med in the East cemetery. Pallbearers were Peder Lovre, Alfred Erickson, Carl Eggen, Julius Eggen, Jens E. Ramlo, and Elmer M. Ramlo. Many floral offerings and $64 in memorial gifts were mute testimonials of the high esteem in which the deceased was held in this community.
