ANSON S. GEESEY OBITUARY
Anson S. Geesey was born in the town of Newfane, Niagara County, New York, April 18th 1844, and died at Albia, Iowa November 17th, 1918. His age was 74 years, 7 months, and 4 days.
Mr. Geesey was united in marriage with Emmaline Sophia Allen, July 4, 1968. She was called to her reward some twenty years ago and he was left to live with his children, and a part of the time he chose to live by himself. His sudden calling away has been a great shock to his aged sister, Mrs. H.S. Cooper and to his children, who survive him. Four children were born to the family, two of which had passed away before the deceased. The living are George of Inverness, Mont., and Mrs. May Effie VanGorder of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funeral services were held November 22d, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Cooper, Rev. Van Nice officiating, and the body was laid to rest in Oakland cemetery.
