Services for Floyd L. Sires, 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home with burial in Garden of Memories.

Mr. Sires died early Monday, December 18, 1978, at Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 8, 1903, at Dorchester, Iowa, the son of Levi and Sophia (Spiegler) Sires. He was a butter buyer for the A&P grocery store chain for 25 years, retiring two years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Wilfarene; four sons, Paul of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Levi, Dean and Jerry, all of Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs. R.M. Knudsvig and Mrs. Herman Wenzel of Waterloo; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Sires of Beauport, South Carolina; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Houck of Waterloo.
