Mrs. Charles (Levena Muchow) Warnholtz
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, at the Schutte Funeral Home, for Mrs. Charles Warnholtz who passed away on May 2 at the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah. The Rev. Lenwood L. Monte, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
Levena Muchow was born April 6, 1880 in Clayton county, Iowa, the daughter of Henry C. and Marie Fink Muchow. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, by Rev. Gass.
On February 11, 1904 she was married to Charles Warnholtz by Rev. Bockelman. The couple farmed in this vicinity for many years and in 1910 moved to Postville, Mr. and Mrs. Warnholtz became residents of the Aase Haugen Home in Decorah in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965; her parents; two sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
