The death of Virgil E. Welper of Waukon, occurred Monday at the University Hospital at Iowa City due to an abscess on the brain following a seven weeks illness.

Deceased was a son of Otto and Dora (Beall)Welper, and was born at Rossville November 24, 1913.

On January 7, 1931, he was united in amrriage with Irene Buege. Three sons were born to this union, namely: Everett, Delbert and Leslie.

Besides his parents, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters residing at home: Leona, Alfred, Grant, Ardys, Otto, Jr. and Marlys.

Mr. Welper had been employed as a laborer and farmer during his lifetime.

The remains were brought to Waukon Tuesday by Martin Brothers, and taken to the Welper home.

Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. L.L. Bond, assisted by R.L. VanNice.

The remains will be carried to their last resting place in Oakland Cemetery by W.C. Decker, Guy Ahlstrom, John Kaveny, Louis Peterson, Ed. Aannas and Alden Larson.
