Minnie A. O'Hare, 70, died Friday, May 1, 1981, at her home in Dyersville, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, May 4 at 11 am. in St. Patrick's Catholic church in Waukon. Burial was in West Ridge cemetery. Hanson funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born February 15, 1911 to John and Alice (Sheriff) Burroughs in Dorchester.

Minnie married John P. O'Hare October 26, 1928, at St. Mary's church in Dorchester. They farmed in the Hanover and Forest Mills areas. She also lived in Waukon. In March of 1980, she moved to Dyersville.

She was a clerk in Hager's grocery store and Kaveny gift shop. Minnie attended Waukon schools, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Del (Mary) Goerdt of Dyersville; and Mrs. Lyle (Catherine) Roffman of East Moline, Illinois; brothers and sisters, William Burroughs of Waukon; Lydia Miller of Pacifica, California; Jesse Burroughs of Caledonia, Minnesota; and Manfurd Burroughs of Traer, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Evelyn Schultz; Catherine Styir; and Alice Creasey; brothers, John Burroughs, Harvey Burroughs; and Lawrence Burroughs; and great-grandson, Jeffrey Ries.

Pallbearers were Donald, Timothy and Kenneth Burroughs, Raymond Schultz, Thomas O'Hare and George Ashbacher.
