Mrs. A. A. Schmidt Is Interred At Garnavillo Cemetery

Ottillie Schmidt, wife of the late Dr. A. A. Schmidt, passed away Friday morning, June 23, 1961, at her home in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 87.

She was preceded in death by her husband and son and four brothers. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. L. R. (Leila) Kious and Dr. Joyce Spurgeon, both of Columbus, Ohio; also four grandchildren and one great grandson; one brother, Dr. R. V. Brandt, of Mesa, Arizona; four sisters: Mrs. Hulda Roebken of Des Moines, Mrs. Carrie Krueger of Bozeman, Montana, Mrs. Jessie Lathrop of Beloit, Wisconsin and Mrs. James (Walda) Langwell of Tomah, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the Postville community Presbyterian Church and also a 50 year member of Postville Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 26, at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Home at Columbus with the Rev. Lloyd Lewis of Crestview Presbyterian Church in charge. Graveside services were held at the Garnavillo city cemetery Wednesday, June 28, with the Postville Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star officiating.
