Russell Revoir

Lansing, Ia. Special – Funeral services for Russell Revoir, 22, were held at the Calvary Evangelical Church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. G. W. Cramer, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. R. Walter of Luverne, former pastor.

During the services, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Peters sand “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere”, “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” and “The Lights of Home”.

Casketbearers were: Clement Peters, John Feuerhelm, William Schulze, Milton Severson, Harlan McKinney, and Curtis Wendel. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The youth was taken ill last Wednesday evening and the next day was taken to a LaCrosse hospital where he died Sunday following a brief illness of cerebreal meningitis.

A son of Mr. and Mrs. James Revoir, he was born at Independence, Wis., on Jan. 9, 1916. He came to Lansing eight years ago. He entered the city school from which he was graduated with the class of 1934. He taught the Dry Ridge School the past year and a half.

He was a member of the Evangelical Church and at the time of his death was assistant Sunday School superintendent, member of the Young Peoples Society, and choir. He was also a member of the City Band.

Surviving are his parents: two sisters, Marjorie and Mona; two brothers, Howard and Gerald, all at home
