Earl Henry Reiser, 87, of New Albin, died Friday, Janu­ary 26, 1990, in the Good Sa­maritan Care Center in Wau­kon.

He was born June 22, 1902, in rural New Albin to John H. and Minnie (Teske) Reiser. He married Alice Child in 1926 in Nashua, Iowa, and had five children. He married Emma (Weymiller) Blomquist on April 28, 1951. She died March 11, 1978.

He farmed all his life and retired and moved into New Al­bin in 1968.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Weymiller of New Albin, and Vivian Hammer of Waukon; two sons, Dale Reiser of Dorchester, and Cleon Reiser of TN; 13 grandchildren, three step­grandchildren; 17 great­-grandchildren; 10 step-great-­grandchildren; a great-great­-grandchild; and a step-great­-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, two brothers, a sister, a grandson, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 30, at Grace United Methodist Church, New Albin, with Pastor Tom Matt­son officiating. Burial was in New Albin Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Reiser, Mark Reiser, Curtis Re­iser, Dean Reiser, Richard Re­iser, Roger Weymiller, Ronald Hammer, and David Hammer. Honorary pallbearers were Bar­ry Blomquist, Richard Blom­quist, and David Blomquist.

Burke Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
