Frank C. Weymiller, 92, a lifetime New Albin resident, died Tuesday, February 23, 1988 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.
He was born November 22, 1895 in New Albin to Frank A. and Caroline (Wild) Weymiller.
He attended New Albin schools. He married Mariam Tabatt in 1931. She died February 7, 1987.
He was a retired farmer and also worked as a livestock buyer and a fireman for the Milwaukee Road railroad for two years.
He served on the New Albin city council, school board, and was a church board member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Louis of New Albin and Franklin "Doc" of Harpers Ferry; two daughters, Mrs. LaVerne (Mary Lou) Welper of New Albin, and Mrs. Leon (Ruth Ann) Myhre of Caledonia. Minn.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother Walter and a sister Amanda, in infancy.
Rev. Tom Mattson officiated at the funeral services held on Friday, February 26 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in New Albin. Burial was in the New Albin city cemetery.
Pallbearers were Merle Welper, Ray Mulholland, Cleon Sires, Robert Weymiller, Harris Fink, Ray Whalen and Robert Dresselhaus. Martin funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
