Mrs. Myron Stall Dies at Age of 88 Years
The death of Mrs. Myron E. Stall occurred last Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Beall of Jefferson township, following a few days illness from the effects of a paralytic stroke.
Mary Adeline Juilleret was born October 17, 1843, in the vicinity of Rusie, Canton of Manberge in northern France. At the age of four years she came with her parents and their family of children to this country. For five years they resided in New York City then went to Detroit, Mich., where she grew to womanhood and was wedded on October 21, 1865, to Myron Stall. They began their married life near Cheboygan, which had since been her home.
Nine children were born to this union, five of whom preceded her in death. Two sons, Clarence and Willis, died in infancy; Frank in 1910; Charles in 1923, and a daughter, Mrs. T. J.Werhan in 1929. Mr. Stall passed away in 1907. Four daughters survive to mourn the loss of a dear mother,namely: Mrs. John Brooks of Postville; Mrs.T. P.Bollman Basin, Wyoming Mrs.John Palmer, Waukon, and Mrs.Beall of Jefferson township who has been her mother's constant companion since the death of Mr. Stall.Besides the above there are also 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends who will ever cherish the memory of Grandma Stall.
Deceased had been member of the Methodist church since girlhood and was a regular attendant as long as health and strength permitted. funeral services were held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Clements. Burial was in the family lot in Evergreen cemetery in Jefferson.
The pall bearers were: Allen E. Brooks, Kenneth Brooks, Sidney Stall, Richard Stall, John D. Ralston and Lawrence Dresser.
