New Albin Farmer Dies as Tractor Overturns
Waukon – Funeral arrangements were being made at Martin Brothers here Friday for Fred Weymiller, 57, of New Albin, who was killed when a tractor overturned on him Thursday.
A retired farmer, Weymiller had been living in New Albin since his retirement but frequently returned to one of his farms to help with the work.
He was operating a tractor pulling logs along a county road when he backed close to the muddy edge of a 20-foot embankment and the tractor flipped over backwards. He was killed instantly.
He is survived by his wife and 11 grown children.~Cedar Rapids Gazette; 22 Feb 1958

TRACTOR TIPS, FARMER KILLED
A 67 year old farmer was killed Thursday when a tractor he was driving overturned on him at his farm. He is Fred Weymiller, who, with his son-in-law, Robert Bulman, and a hired man, was pulling logs.Weymiller was driving the tractor when it apparently struck the soft shoulder on an embankment, and tipped over backwards. He was crushed beneath the tractor.
Notes: According to the 'Woodmansee' records for Mt. Hope cemetery, he died 27 Feb 1958. (Born 26 Sep 1891). Also, full name was Frederick William "Fred" Weymiller according to info found on an Ancestry.com family tree.
