Well Known Lansing Man Called By Death
Otto Worm
Death came to the relief of the above named gentleman Saturday evening about 11 o'clock at the state hospital in Independence following a long illness. He had been a patient there the past two years and death was attriuted to cerebral arteriosclerosis.
He was born at Lansing July 22nd, 1882, a son of the late Wilhelmina Dee and William Worm, early residents of this community. He attended the city schools, after which he went to North Dakota where on Dec. 31st, 1913 he was married to Helen Bonin at Colfax. They were the parents of three children, two sons, Floyd in the service at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Howard, of Victor, S.D., and one daughter, Mrs. John (Myrta) Protsman of Lansing, who with their mother mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent husband and father. Other immediate survivors include one brother Paul, of Newell, S.D. and one sister, Mrs Elsie Starling, of Los Angeles, California.
Otto was familiarly known in Lansing where after his return from North Dakota he was employed for many years by the Button Company and Nielanders, the funeral services were held this Wed. afternoon from the Schneider Funeral Home to the E.U.B. Church with Rev. D.H. Iles officiating. Vocal numbers were rendered by Vernon Peters accompanied by Miss Karen Schlutz. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery and casket bearers were Leonard and Theodore Dee, Clarence and Herbert Feuerhelm, Bernard Wurtzel and Raymonth Wirth.
