Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Welper, 85, were held Monday at Eitzen, Minn. She died (07 Jan 1944) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Deters of Eitzen.

Born in Germany, march 28, 1858, she came to Union City township in Allamakee County, Ia. in 1879. The greater part of her life was spent on the home farm.

Surviving are eight children, Mrs. John Waters, Mrs. Arthur Kasten and Henry Welper of Union City township, Ia.; Otto of Marion, Ia.; Theodore of French Creek township, Ia.; Mrs. Edward Schultz of Lansing, Ia.; Mrs. Roy Deters of Eitzen, Minn., and Alfred Welper of Waukon, Ia.
