Helen M. St. Mary, 89, of Caledonia, died Friday, October 22, 2004, at Caledonia Care and Rehab, where she had been a resident for 15 years.
She was born December 3, 1914, in Church, Iowa, to Peter and Ella (Meyer) Twite. She married Alex St. Mary on November 10,1934, in Winona. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1978.
She is survived by four daughters, Jan (Stan)Rauk of Anchorage, Alaska; Sylvia (Ron) Skifton of Houston, MN; Anita (Larry) Olson of Peterson,MN; and Lucy (Richard) Johnson of Caledonia; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Anderson of Hokah and Alice (Harold) Heaney of Caledonia; a brother, LaVerne (Annette) Twite of Houston, MN; and a sister-in-law, Ragnhild St. Mary of Caledonia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine Gilbertson, a brother and a sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 25, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Gregory Leif will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at McCormick Funeral Home and an hour prior to the services on Monday. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
