Jesse Lane, 66, of Waukon died Mon­day, Oct. 23, in a La Crosse hospital after a long illness.

Services were held Wednesday afternoon at Martin Funeral Home, Rev. Marlyn Hansing officiating, and burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Lane was born Nov. 18, 1905, in Waukon to Russell & Barbara (Hahn) Lane, and he married Ruth Larsen in 1919. He lived all his life in Waukon and was a long-time employee of the city.

He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Jack Carroll of Cyprus, Calif., Mrs. Robert Lawyor of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. William Jenkins of La Mirada, Calif.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Russell Lane Jr. of Waukon; and five sisters, Mrs. Jack Griffin of Waukon, Mrs. Gail Gantenbein of Riverton, Wyo., Mrs. Raphael Teff of Marshville, N.C., Mrs. Keith Schroeder of Atwater Calif., and Mrs. Bert Gluck of San Diego, Calif.
