Rites Held for Ann Metzdorf

Mrs. Ann Metzdorf of New Albin, Ia. died Monday evening at St. Francis Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis. She was born in Dorchester on May 22, 1903 to James and Mary (Carabone) Hayes.

She was married to Ed S. Moore in 1921. He died in 1931. She then married Hiller Metzdorf in 1933. He died in 1967.

Survivors are three daughters; Mrs. Betty Gordon of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Dexter (Jane) Donahuski of Burlington, Wis. and Mrs Robert (Mary Colleen) Nichols of No. Adams, Mass. four sons; Tom K Moore of Rockford, Ill. Bob Moore of Madison, John Metzdorf of Milwaukee and Daniel Metzdorf of New Albin, 22 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Otto (Alice) Kubitz of N. A..

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday January 29, at St. Joseph’s Catholic church in New Albin, with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were; Leo Whalen, John Linzenmeyer, Richard Heiderscheit, Lawerence Imhoff, James Hammell and James Imhoff.

Hanson Funeral home of Waukon was in charge of arrangements
