HOLD SERVICES FOR ALBERT W. BAREIS

Funeral services were held for Albert W. Bareis, formerly of Postville,at 11:a.m., Saturday Oct. 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. Norris Swenson officiated.

Albert W. Bareis, son of Fred and Mary (Stopperan) Bareis was born October 9,1901 in Clayton County, south of Postville and died October 23, 1978 in Peoria, Illinois

He married Hazel Krogman October 6,1928 and they resided at Washington, Illinois where prior to his retirement in 1966, he served as a Dairy Products Supervisor for Sealtest Dairy. Two sons, Kenneth and Richard were born to them.

He was a member of the Central Illinois Dairy Technological Society, and in retirement years was very active in the Masonic Lodge. Baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville on November 21,1901 by Pastor Bockelmann, he was confirmed on April 18,1916 at the Zion Lutheran Church,Castalia.

After moving to Illinois in 1940,he was a member of the St. Mark`s Lutheran Church of Washington,Illinois.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and John.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel, Washington, Illinois; two sons,Kenneth,Fayetteville, North Carolina and Richard, New York City, New York; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Lafe Lampman(Ethel), Postville.

Interment was in the Postville Cemetery. Service arrangements were made in cooperation with Schutte Funeral Service,Postville
