Obituary of Hall Muchow,1908-1966
RITES HELD FOR HALL MUCHOW
Hall Muchow,son of John and Mamie Muchow was born September 12,1908 in Postville Iowa. He had lived his entire life in this community.He received his education through high school in Postville.
On July 3,1934,he was united in marriage to Mildred Thompson at Caledonia,Minnesota.To this union four girls and one son were born.The couple made their home in Postville since their marriage.Mr. Muchow worked about 12 years for Earl Handy and then continued to work for the Oscar Mayer Company of Madison,Wisconsin for either 2 or 21 years.Mr. Muchow passed away suddenly in Postville on Monday,March 28,1966.He reached the age of 57 years,six months and 16 days.
He is survived by his wife,Mildred,five children,Mrs. Stanley(Darlene) Iverson of Waterloo,Mrs. Burnell(Gloria)Sander of Postville,Mrs. Donald(Linda)Bugenhagen of Postville,Eldon and Janet Elaine at home.There are two sisters:Mrs. Lawrence(Marie) Moses of Prairie du Chien,Wisconsin,Mrs Edward(Margaret)Levy of Des Moines; and six brothers.Clarence Muchow of Long Beach,California,Joe Muchow of Luana,Jack Muchow of Ottumwa,Walter Muchow of Alaska,Enos Muchow of Postville;Guy Muchow of Clermont;eight grandchildren,many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday,March 31,1:30 p.m.,at the Community Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Dick Harberts,in charge. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
