Funeral services for Louis Edward Kehr, age 91, of Waukon, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 6 at the First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, Iowa with Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Burial, with military graveside rites conducted by the Waukon Veterans, was held at the Oakhill Cemetery in Lansing, Iowa. Martin Funeral Home of Waukon, Iowa was in charge of the arrangements.

Louis Edward Kehr, son of Henry and Louise (Wentker) Kehr, was born near Elon, Iowa in Allamakee County, Iowa on May 23, 1899. He attended elementary school in Center Township in Allamakee County.

Louis Edward Kehr, a lifelong resident of Allamakee County, died May 2, 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters, Bertha Barbara Schafer, Amelia Schmieden, Margaret Dorothy Knutson, Clara Pauline Kehr, and Carolina Louisa Tetzlaff.
