Funeral services for Louis Hill, Jr. were held Wednesday, August 13, 1986 at 9:30 a.m. at Turner Chapel East in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Rev. Calvin DeVries of First Presbyterian Church and the Rev. John Dalton of St. Raphael Cathedral, Dubuque, Iowa officiated. A committal service was held Wednesday August 13 at 3:00 p.m. at the Postville Cemetery with the Rev. Terrance Hennesy of Community Presbyterian Church in Postville, Iowa officiating. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of local arrangements.

Louis Hill, Jr. was the son of Louis and Harriet (Leui) Hill of Postville, Iowa. He was born May 24, 1921 in Cresco, Iowa. He died Saturday August 9, 1986 in Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from the Postville Public Schools in 1939. He attended Iowa State University, the University of Iowa and Coe College. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII. He was a junior and senior accountant with Ernst and Ernst, CPA's in Chicago, Illinois. In 1952 he became auditor of Merchants National Bank of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was later vice-president and comptroller of MNB and senior vice-president and treasurer of Banks of Iowa, Inc.

Louis was a member of Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Kappa Phi, national honor societies, First Presbyterian Church, Trojan Lodge 548 A.F.& A.M., Cedar Rapids Consistory, El Kahir Shrine Temple, Arthur F. Brandt Post #518 of the American Legion, and a member of the board of control of Delta Upsilon Social Fraternity. He served as treasurer for both the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Cedar Rapids and the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Iowa for many years. He did work for employees and non-employees in Alcoholics Anonymous. He served as a member of the board of trustees of the Fellowship Club of Cedar Rapids.

Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis Hill Sr., who died in 1970. Surviving is his mother, Harriet Hill of Postville, Iowa.
