Intelligence has been received of the death in Detroit, about ten days since, of Mr. George W. Colburn, son-in-law of Mr. Samuel Morgan, of this place.
Mr. Colburn and Miss Mary Morgan were married in Lansing, some seven years since, and have since resided in Detroit, where he was engaged in the office of the Detroit Bridge and Iron Works, of which Company his brother was Secretary and Treasurer.
The deceased was a gentleman of rare excellent qualities of heart and mind, and a most worthy citizen. Though in poor health for some months, he was taken seriously ill but a few days prior to his death, which resulted from an affection of the heart.
He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss.
