Edward Stock’s Rites Monday

Funeral services were held Monday, April 24 at 2 p.m. for Edward Stock, 85, of Waukon. The Rev. Gehrald Riesen was the officiating minister and rites were held in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Robert and Richard Hansmeier, James Stock, Clifton Christianson, Alton Johnson and David (sic Daniel) Schlitter were casket bearers.

Mr. Stock died Friday, April 21 in Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital where he was a patient for eight days.

He was born July 27, 1881 in Ludlow township and was a son of Frederick and Caroline Ottomeier Stock. He was educated in the local schools and Oct. 12, 1905 he married Wilhelmina Fiet in Ludlow township. They lived on a farm in Ludlow township and moved to Waukon in 1953.

Survivors are his wife, a daughter Mrs. Reuben (Gertrude) Hansmeier of Waukon and two sons, Leonard and Robert O. Stock, both of Waukon. There are 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Stock was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Martin Brothers was in charge of arrangements.
