Charles Stock Funeral Monday From Zalmona

Last rites for Charles Henry Stock were held at 1:30 Monday of this week from the Martin funeral home and at 2 from Zalmona Presbyterian church. The Rev. Mr. Henry Johnson officiated and burial was in Zalmona cemetery, the church of which Mr. Stock was a member.

Pallbearers were Roland Nagel, Fred Kugel, Elmer Hermeier, Albert Grotegut, Len Stock, and Arthur Stock.

Mr. Stock, who had been in poor health for some time, died Oct. 13 after a four-day stay at the local hospital.

He was a native of Ludlow township, where he was born April 16, 1879, son of Frederick and Caroline Ottomeier Stock. He had lived in Waukon for 23 years. He was married to Mary Ehde May 11, 1905 in Post township.

She remains as do their children, Mrs. Clarence Snitker of Waukon, Mrs. Ed Nagel of Waukon, Ceylon Stock of Mason City and Mrs. Walter Grotegut of Waukon. There are eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Two sisters and a brother also remain. They are Ed Stock of Waukon, Mrs. Charles Pausch of Waukon, and Mrs. Fred Grotegut of Frankville.

Mr. Stock had been a farmer until he retired.
