Well Known Farmer
Summoned By Death
The death of Charles J. Henry, a well known and highly
respected farmer residing in this township died Thursday
at his home north of Waukon, following a paralytic
stroke, after a nine weeks illness.Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Henry, early residents of this county, where he was born
March 31, 1870. On January 28, 1896 he was wedded at Waukon
to Miss Mary Colsch. Nine children came to bless their home
six of whom with their mother survive, namely: Theodore,
Geo. Leo, Milton and Mrs. Harvey Flage, all residing near
Waukon, and Mrs. Wm. Duffy of Dorchester. He is also
survived by three brothers and three sisters, John, Andrew,
Joseph, of Waukon, Mrs. Gustave Gruber, Union Prairie Township,
Mrs. Chas. Haas, Lycurgus and Mrs. Moritz Guber, Lansing.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Mary’s
Catholic church, conducted by Rev. P.H. McNamara, with
burial in the family lot in the cemetery nearby. The pallbearers
were J.E. O’Brien, Nicholas Colsch, Thos. Ford, O.A. Dixon,
