Joseph Reeder, an old resident of the English Bench, died on Tuesday last after an illness of two weeks of erysipelas. Funeral services were held at Mt. Hope church on Thursday and interment in English Bench cemetery.
Mr. Reeder was an honest, hard working man, and a good neighbor. He leaves a wife, two sons and a daughter to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father.The Waukon Standard Feb. 8, 1900 page 1

Date: 5/14/2007Joseph Reeder died at his home on the English Bench on Tuesday of last week after an illness of three weeks with erysipelas. Mr. Reeder was a kind father and an obliging neighbor. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow and three children.
