Miss Rita Piggott, 52, of 1129 Eastmoor Dr., died Monday at a Mason City hospital Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Howard Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon. Services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church there.

Born in Waukon in 1920, she was the daughter of Owen and Mary Piggott. She was a graduate of Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls (now the University of Northern Iowa) and taught school in Allamakee County before moving to Mason City. She was a teacher at Madison School here.

Miss Piggott was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mason City, the Catholic Daughters of America, and Alpha Delta Kappa, teachers' honorary society.

Surviving are two brothers, Leonard Piggott, Oak Park, Ill., Jim Piggott, Des Moines; a sister, Miss Mary Piggott, with whom she lived in Mason City; and a niece, Miss Joan Piggott, San Francisco.
