Kenneth C. Fuller, 90, of Waukon, Iowa, died Thursday, August 18, 2005, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Graveside memorial services with military rites will be Wednesday, August 24, at Old East Paint Creek Cemetery, rural Waterville, at 11 a.m. Pastor David Schafer will officiate.
Kenneth Cleo Fuller was born August 12, 1915, in Blackwell, Okla., the son of Alva and Mary (Griffith) Fuller. He attended school in Chandler, Ariz. Ken served as a Sergeant in the US Army during World War II with Patton’s 3rd Army at Bastogne and was later honored by the National NCO’s Association of Washington, D.C. He farmed as a young man and later worked as an auto mechanic for a Ford dealership in Phoenix, Ariz. Most recently, Ken worked as manager for a commercial laundry service in San Diego, Calif., before moving to Waukon in 1998. He was a member of the American Legion and Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Ronald (Louis) Fuller of Alpine, Calif.; five grandchildren, Ron (Darice) Wilkinson of Turlock, Calif., Kim (Robert) Sizemore and Elizabeth (Brandon) Lifer, both of Huntersville, N.C. Ken (Heather) Fuller of Gaffney, S.C., and Will (Cyndi) Fuller of El Cajon, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren, Jackie and Samantha Wilkinson, Hayley and Ben Sizemore, Jordan and Jacob Lifer, and Ronnie and Ally Fuller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Dennis, his wife Emma (Hunstad) Fuller, and several brothers and sisters.
