Johannes Gunderson was born near Stavanger, Norway, Nov. 28, 1828, and died at his home in Pleasant township Feb. 2, 1910, being at the time of death a little past 81 years. Mr. Gunderson was one of the earliest pioneers, coming to this country in the late forties. He was a man of a serious and unassuming nature, a kind father, a loving husband and a neighborly neighbor. He leaves to mourn his demise a wife and several children. The cause of death was apoplexy.
