Killed in Montana Wreck.
In a wreck that occurred on the Northern Pacific road near Park City, Mont., last Friday morning, seventeen people were killed outright and a number more injured seriously, some fatally. In the death list appears the name of John Ryan, who left Waukon about a month ago to take up his residence in Montana. Mr. Ryan was a cousin of Mrs. R. J. Hutchinson. His remains were brought to Waukon Tuesday for burial. Mrs. Hutchinson went down Monday to attend the funeral. Among other passengers on the train was Orville English of Missoula, Mont., who was one of the guests at the Buckner-Nelson wedding in Decorah last week Wednesday.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born June 9, 1890 and died Sept. 25, 1908. He is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
