Mrs. M. O'Regan, a pioneer resident of Allamakee county passed away, May 24th, 1913, at her home in Union City township. Her maiden name was Mary Waters, and she was born in Ireland, August 10th, 1848. She came with her parents to America and resided in Connecticut, coming to this county in 1860. Her marriage to Maurice O'Regan occurred in 1866. Four children were born to them, one dying in early youth. The surviving children are James and Maurice at home, and Mrs. T. F. O'Brien of this city. She is also survived by two brothers, Geo. and Ed. Waters of Union City township. Her husband died in 1910. The funeral of Mrs. O'Regan occurred Monday morning at Lycurgus. Requiem high mass was sung for the repose of her soul by Rev. Father Sheehy.
