THEODORE hAAS
We briefly mentioned last week the death of Theodore Haas, which took place at the Waukon Hospital Monday evening of last week and was caused by peritonitis following an attack of appendicitis.
Theodore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Haas, was born Nov. 8, 1894, on a farm near Lycurgus, and his entire life was spent in that vicinity. His marriage to Elsie Ferring took place at Lansing May 2, 1922, who with three children, Leonita, Vincent, and Anna Mae are left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and indulgent father.
He is also survived by his mother, two brothers, Edward B. and William Haas, and a sister, Mrs. Edward Duggan, all of Waukon. The deceased was an honest, industrious man and his passing away in the prime of life is a great loss to his family, who have the sincere and heartfelt sympathy of all who know them.
The funeral was held Thursday, Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Lycurgus, at 9 a.m. by the pastor, the Rev. P.H. McNamara, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
