KIESAU, HAGER, KRAMPE, OPFER, WOLTERS, LUDEKING

Relatives in Waukon and vicinity were apprised last week of the death of Mrs. August H. Kiesau, which took place at Long Beach, Calif., March 28, after a lingering illness.

The deceased was formerly Miss Martha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hager, both now dead, and was born in Ludlow township, Allamakee county, May 8, 1869. In September, 1893, she was married to August Kiesau and they made their home at Norfolk, Neb., until about a year ago.

Mrs. Kiesau is survived by her husband, son and daughter of Long Beach; also her sisters, Mrs. H. Krampe, Baxter, Iowa; Mrs. Edward Opfer, Byron, Minn.; Mrs. F.L. Wolters, Milwaukee; Mrs. H.F. Opfer, Mrs. Fred Ludeking, Mrs. J.C. Opfer, of Waukon, and three brothers, O.J. and J.H. Hager of this city, and Paul Hager of Ludlow township.

Burial took place at Long Beach last Wednesday and the same afternoon a memorial service, conducted by Rev. E.T. Gough pastor of the Methodist church, was held in this city at the home of Mrs. H.F. Opfer.
