We made brief announcement last week of the death of Patrick McMorrow, one of the old residents of Union Prairie township, which took place at Minneapolis Monday, where he was visiting his children and receiving medical treatment. His wife was with him and his children were all present when the end came.

The deceased was born in Ireland seventy-eight years ago and was a resident of this county for about fifty years.

He is survived by his wife, five daughters and three sons: Mrs. E.J. Hall of Waukon; John, William and Anna of Union Prairie township; Michael, Mrs. Edward Sullivan, Mrs. Mame Coakley and Mrs. Lizzie Dunlevy of Minneapolis.

The remains arrived at the home northwest of this city Tuesday, coming via Decorah, and the funeral was held Thursday morning, requiem mass at the West Ridge church and burial at Mount Olivet cemetery.

Patrick McMorrow was a kindly, genial man, a good friend and neighbor, and his death evokes universal expressions of sorrow.
