Edward Lueken

Edward J. Lueken, 76, of Ferdinand, Ind., died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 23, at St. Ferdinand Church, Ferdinand. Burial was in the church cemetery. Becher Funeral Home of Ferdinand was in charge of arrangements.

Edward John was born November 4, 1928, in Ferdinand, Ind., to Joseph F. and Olivia (Nord) Lueken.

He married Lorraine Farley August 26, 1950, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Edward was a member of the Ferdinand Senior Citizens and a longstanding member of St. Ferdinand Parish and choir. He was retired from a career as a finish carpenter at the Lueken Lumber Company.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine of Ferdinand; a daughter, Charlotte Feeney of Urbandale, Iowa; three grandchildren, Jennifer Silvay, Holly Hamstreet, and Zachary Feeney; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Zoe Hamstreet; siblings Oliver and James Lueken, both of Ferdinand, Mrs. Jim (Barbara) Schaefer of St. Wendel, and Mrs. Dennis (Mary Jo) Tretter of Evansville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Merlyn Lueken.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ferdinand Parish choir.
