LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Graveside services for James L. Collins, Las Cruces, formerly of Owatonna, were held Oct. 15 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Las Cruces.

Mr. Collins died Thursday, Oct. 10, at his home following a long illness. He was 64.

Mr. Collins was born March 16, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wis.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Collins was a retired farmer from the Las Cruces area.

He is survived by his wife, Norean; a son, Edward Collins, Fairacres, N.M.; two daughters, Abigail Osborne, Fairacres, Laura (and Mat) Ikard, Austin, Texas; and four grandchildren.
