Owatonna Funeral services for Leo Collins, Owatonna, were held Friday, March 3, 1989 at Brick-Postlewaite Funeral Home. The Rev. James McCauley officiated at the 3:30 p.m. service. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mr. Collins died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1989, in Owatonna. He was 84.

Mr. Collins was born March 3, 1904 in New Albin, IA. He married Lillian Quigley on June 22, 1929.

He farmed in the Medford area for many years and was a produce dealer on North Cedar Avenue. He was a life-long member of the knights of Columbus and the Elk Club. He belonged to the Steele County Historical Society and was a supporter of the Democratic political party.

Mr. Collins is survived by a son, James L., of Las Cruces, NM; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and five brothers. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
