Mildred "Minnie" Marten

Mildred M. "Minnie" Marten, 76, of Oelwein, died Wednesday, January 23, 1:30 p.m. at Covenant Medical Center, Kimball, Waterloo, IA.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 25, 1991 at 10:30 a.m. at Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home, Oelwein was in charge of arrangements.

Mildred, daughter of Theodore Klemme and Dora Brookmeyer Klemme was born March 31, 1914 at Postville, IA. She married Rudolph Marten, who died in January, 1957. She worked at City Laundry in Oelwein from 1958 until her retirement in 1976. She had been a resident at Grandview Care Center in Oelwein since November of 1990.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Rudolph, a grandson, Loren and 3 brothers, Emil, Arnold and Leslie.

Survivors: a daughter, Dorothy (Mrs. Marvin) Wolfgram Kiel of Oelwein; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 step grandson and 3 step great-grandsons.
