HEALY

Died, at his home on English Bench, on April 29, James William Healy, aged 30 years, 6 months and 12 days.

Will, as he was familiarly called, was a quiet, upright young man and a general favorite with all. About five years ago, wishing to branch out in life, he went to Superior, Wis., where he secured employment on the Great Northern R'y and was one of the company's most trusted employees.

His illness dates back about a year to a severe attack of typhoid-pneumonia from which he never fully recovered. His suffering was borne with patience and fortitude and he was never heard to murmur a word of complaint.

A promising young life is thus closed in early manhood. He leaves besides his bereaved parents, three brothers, J.E. of Cedar Rapids; Michael and Richard, and one sister, Miss Anna, at home, who were with him and cheered him in his last hours.

He died fortified by the last rites of the Catholic church of which he was a member. The funeral was held on Saturday morning from St. Mary's church at Dorchester, the Rev. Father Brady preaching a beautiful and consoling sermon.

Sympathy is extended to the sorrowing relatives, this being the first link to be broken in the golden chain of love in their home. The battle of life is over, the palm of victory is his.

Additional in the same paper & date, on page 2 in the Lansing Chit-Chat column:

Our English Bench reporter, Will Sadler, handles the death of his young friend, Will Healy, so nicely this week that there is nothing left for us to say except to extend to the bereaved parents our heartfelt sympathy.
