Michael "Mickey" J. Madden

Michael "Mickey" J. Madden, 78, of Harpers Ferry, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, January 31, 2004. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 31 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Wexford with Fr. Louis Trzil and Fr. Robert Levenhagen conducting the service. Interment was at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Wexford. Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon, was in charge of arrangements.

Mickey was born July 12, 1925, in La Crosse, Wis., to Mort and Mary (Manton) Madden. He was a farmer in the Harpers Ferry area and attended Immaculate Conception Church in Wexford. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Heritage Club, and the Lansing Senior Citizens.

He is survived by his cousins, Loe (Bud) Hawes, Eleanor Corrigan, Romona Mullarkey, Alice Wood, Patricia Darling, Veronica Doty, Kathlen Keenan, and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honorary casketbearers were Ralph Mohn, Kent McCormick, Bob Cota, Glen Conner, Mike Vance, Mike Whalen, Leo McCormick, and Waylon Taylor. Casketbearers were Steve Hawes, Leo Keenan, John Delaney, Cyril Hawes, Maike Malli, Joe Mohn, Ray Wagner, and Mike Corrigan.
