~Allamakee Journal, Wednesday, January 10, 1883; pg 2

Notes:
-The 1882 biography of Charles Amann, names one of his 3 children as Ernest. The mother being nee Carrie Christ.
-The 'Woodmansee' book shows the child in Gethsemane cemetery, incorrectly spelling the surname as Anann rather than Amann, and with dates 09/06/1879-12/30/1882. This DOD is in conflict with 01/02/1883 as given in the obituaries.

Additional note added by S. Ferrall 11/20/2023:
The remains of little Charles were disinterred from the abandoned Catholic cemetery near Lansing in 1901 by his mother, and reburied in Saint Gabriel's Catholic cemetery, Prairie du Chien, WI. His little sister also died in 1883, and her remains too, were removed to Saint Gabriel's, and laid beside their father Charles who had died in 1900.

Ernest Gothard Amann 1883 Jan 02. FAG # 13618321.
Ernest is on a stone in St Gabriel's Cemetery, Prairie Du Chen, Wisconsin. The stone lists many names. I believe the stone was created after the death of Caroline in 1912. It is uncertain if Earnest was reburied or just listed as a member of the Family.
