E. OTTO MORK 1909-1994

Otto was born November 6, 1909 in the Marion Township, Clayton County, Iowa to Thomas and Mollie (Ruroden) Mork. He was raised and educated in the area, attending the Vellersven rural school. Otto was baptized and confirmed at the Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder, Iowa.

Otto remained on the family farm, in the Marion Township, which he farmed. He retired in 1977 and moved to Elgin, Iowa. Due to the flood of 1992 Otto moved to Postville, Iowa where he resided with his brother Enoch. Due to failing health Otto entered the Good Samaritan Home in Waukon, Iowa in August of 1993.

Otto died Thursday, July 7, 1994 at the Good Samaritan Home in Waukon. He was eighty five years of age. Otto was a life long member of the Marion Lutheran Church. He will be remembered as one who enjoyed his work, visiting with others, and gardening.

Survivors include to brothers, Enoch and Robert and his wife Lois, of Waukon, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Otto was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara McNally, and Anna Mae Landsgard; three brothers, Millard, Selmer, and Millien; and by his parents.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 11, 1994 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marion Lutheran Church in Gunder, Iowa. Rev. Albert Hock officiated. Corrine Landsgard was the organist. Burial was held at the Marion Lutheran Cemetery in Gunder, Iowa.
