WARREN H. KERNDT - died 2003
Warren H. Kerndt, 82, of Mesa, Ariz., died unexpectedly Thur., Nov. 20, 2003. Memorial services were held at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel in Mesa.
Warren was raised in the Lansing Ridge area and enjoyed working with the Allamakee County 4-H Services. He began a career in the insurance industry with Farm Bureau and was later Vice President with Central States Health and Life in Omaha, Neb. He also created an annuity company which he managed until he retired.
He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and daily exercise at the Leisure World Fitness Center.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; children Dick Kerndt of Rochester, Minn., Dr. Charlie (Suzy) Kerndt of Traverse City, Mich., their children Austin, Garrett and Connor, and Joannie (Joe) Becker of Hastings, Minn., and their children Lindsey, Mikki and Charlie; two sisters, Lucille Halverson of Waukon and Dorothy (Les) Wiemerslage of Decorah; sister-in-laws Patsy Kerndt and Sharon Kerndt, both of Waukon ; and a brother, the late Harold Kerndt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Donald; brother-in-law Jack Halverson; and grandson Casey Becker.
Warren's ashes will be buried at Lansing Ridge Cemetery this spring.

Warren Kerndt
A graveside service for Warren Kerndt will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2006, at the Lansing Ridge Cemetery, in Churchtown, with the Rev. Larry Olson officiating. At the time of Warren's death, November 20, 2003, a memorial service was held in Mesa, Ariz. Following the service a luncheon will be held at Rivers Edge Restaurant.
Warren is survived by his wife Rosemary of Mesa; his children, Richard Kerndt of Rochester, Minn., Charlie (Suzy) Kerndt of Traverse City, Mich., and Joannie (Joe) Becker of Hastings, Minn.; his grandchildren, Austin, Garrett, and Connor Kerndt and Lindsey, Michaela, and Charlie Becker; sisters Lucille Halverson of Waukon, and Dorothy (Les) Wiemerslage of Decorah; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Kerndt and Sharon Kerndt; and many nieces and nephews.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Herman; his brothers, Donald and Harold; and his grandson, Casey.
