FRED WILLIAM ADAM 1877-1960
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Bethlehem Church, Ludlow, for Fred W. Adam, who passed away at Postville Community Hospital after an illness of several weeks. The Rev. Henry Johnson officiated at the final rites; burial was in the church cemetery.
Fred William Adam passed away August 20 at Postville Hospital where he had been a patient for four weeks. He was born at Quincy, Illinois on September 16, 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Adam. He was married to Lydia Stock. To this union three children were born, Ada (Mrs. Ed Shafer) of Postville, Alfred of Waukon, and Willard of Postville.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother, William of Postville; two sisters, Minnie (Mrs. August Nagel) of Waukon and Emma (Mrs. John Klien) of Delavan, Wisconsin.
Those preceding him in death were his wife who passed away in 1935; his parents, four brothers and four sisters. He was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Ludlow.
