Toddler GERALD LAVERNE BARKER 1951-1952

Funeral services were held last Thursday for Gerald LaVerne Barker, one, at the Schutte Funeral Home here with Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Gerald was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald K. Barker of West Union. Gerald LaVerne Barker, son of Gerald Kenneth Barker and LaVerna Meyer Barker, was born on August 4, 1951, at Postville, and departed this life after an illness of a few hours duration on October 14, 1952, at West Union, aged one year, two months and 10 days.

Left to mourn his passing are his parents; one sister, Vicki Sue; one brother, Richard; his parental grandmother, Mrs. Grace Barker of West Union; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Meyer of Postville; his great grandmother, Mrs. Lizzie Dahms of Postville, and many other relatives.
