BROPHY, TULLY, RELLIHAN

Sunday last a telegram came announcing the death of grandma Brophy, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. Tully, in Dubuque. The remains arrived here Monday and on Tuesday were buried from the Catholic church, interment in Gethsemane cemetery.

Deceased was born in Ireland in 1824, was married to John Brophy in 1845, coming to America two years later and settling in Wexford in 1857.

Eight children, five sons and three daughters, survive as follows: John C., of Lansing; Michael, of Dubuque; Thos. and Joseph, of Idaho and Patrick, of Doon, Iowa; Mesdames B. Tully and M. Rellihan, of this place and Mrs. T. Tully of Dubuque.

Note: Elizabeth Brophy is buried in Gethsemane cemetery, her dates recorded by "Woodmansee" are 1824 - 11/12/1899
