Mrs. Amy Haines Bike, aged 76 years, passed away February 18, in a hospital in Portland, Oregon, according to word received at this office from her sister-in-law, Mrs. Fred E. Haines of Chicago. Funeral services were held in Portland Saturday. Mrs. Bike had been a hospital patient for nearly two years but last fall she suffered a fractured hip.

She was the last of the children of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Haines who for many years lived in Grand Meadow township, on the farm now operated by Ambrose Waters. With her passing there remains only one descendant of this pioneer family, Mrs. George H. (Helen) Buck, who is a daughter of Frank Haines, twin brother of Fred E. Haines who passed away in Chicago two years ago. Mrs. Buck resides in Portland.
